Dr. Gisele Penzhorn is a Physiotherapist and attained a Doctor of Physiotherapy (DPhty) and a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science (B.SpExSc) from Bond University.
Specialising in neurological conditions, Gisele has extensive experience in treating both congenital and acquired neurological conditions, including Cerebral Palsy, Chromosomal Disorders, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Huntington’s Disease, Stroke, and Neuromuscular Disorders.
Gisele’s expertise also encompasses developmental delay, coordination disorders, traumatic brain injury, and vestibular disorders. Gisele’s strong background in exercise physiology, classical ballet, performance coaching, and mental health training enables her to provide holistic patient care, focusing on treating the person rather than just the symptoms.
Having grown up in South Africa, Gisele travelled and worked in the UK before moving to the Gold Coast in 2008 to continue her training. Gisele has worked as a physiotherapist within the community (home-based physio), in private clinics, and within the Department of Education.
