Bec is an AAC and AT enthusiast, who has been engaged and heavily involved within the disability community since her teenage years, both personally and professionally. She harbours a profound passion for language, assistive technology, and human rights 

Over the course of her career, she has dedicated herself to fostering a vibrant community that mirrors her enthusiasm towards ensuring people are seen for the human being they are, regardless of disability – and have access to the supports and technology that they need. She’s worked within schools (specialist, mainstream and in between), run countless camps, holidays and training sessions, and been invited to present at conferences world-wide.  

Through numerous training sessions tailored towards volunteers, families, support staff, school personnel, employers, and community members, she has actively contributed to the dissemination of knowledge across a diverse range of topics, including AAC, assistive technology, Key Word Sign, person centred support, positive behaviour support, communication partners, supporting young people, the impact of routines, visual communication supports, and countless other topics.
